November 22, 2017 – Today, Cassia Networks announces its ‘E1000 Bluetooth IoT Edge Router,’ which reduces the cost and complexity of outdated IoT connectivity and drives IoT innovation for industrial, healthcare and wellness, smart city, beaconing and retail, connected senior care and telemedicine, smart schools, and other enterprise IoT applications. Long-range Bluetooth Router
The E1000 is the premier long-range Bluetooth IoT edge processing router for the IoT enterprise market. It extends Bluetooth low energy (LE) connectivity to over 300 meters (with field testing currently at much longer ranges) without requiring changes to the end devices. Combining the power of Cassia’s patented long-range Bluetooth antenna with Nordic’s Bluetooth 5-certified nRF52832 System-on-Chip (SoC), the router reduces the cost and complexity of enterprise IoT deployments, especially when compared to using costly smartphones or tablets as IoT gateways. Bluetooth IoT for the Enterprise
The E1000 is a wall or ceiling mountable router, designed for the enterprise environment. Also, in an enterprise IoT applications, which may use hundreds of E1000 Cassia routers, seamless configuration, and data is managed using a local server, or the Cassia IoT Access Controller (AC). The Cassia AC displays the status of thousands of connected devices from a single centralized interface. The Cassia AC also provides a network data display, single-click firmware upgrades, device location management, and encrypted end-to-end security.
