Position Summary:
This is a critical position within the company responsible for building and increasing existing market share. This individual contributor role will have a “hunter mentality” with a focus on prospecting and securing new customers, in particular, the potential Dream 100 customers that are strategically important for Cassia. Cassia has a global presence with customers in over 35 countries and 6 continents. This position will capitalize on the company’s current success and footprint to significantly increase our footprint in our existing vertical and geographical markets. This position also requires the ability to manage and grow our existing customers through excellent customer service and growing relationships within each organization.
Major Responsibilities/Duties
A day in the life includes:
- Proactive self-generation of prospects through current network, email and phone outreach, research, conferences, social media, etc.
- Generate leads and grow existing relationships, maintain an accurate detailed opportunity list and develop an active customer base
- Ability to identify and build relationships with key contacts/decision makers within prospected companies and sell to all organizational levels including the C-Suite
- Continuously grow, develop and manage the sales pipeline
- Strategic planning and targeting of new markets and prospects
- Complex technical, solution-based sales approach
- Exude an in-depth understanding of company offerings and comprehensive knowledge of emerging trends to underscore new market development strategies
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Prepare sales forecasts – and communicate to senior management
- Support internal Cassia sales process activities
- Understand client needs and tailor solutions through a consultive sales approach
- Utilize and embrace the company CRM system
- Open communication with the internal Cassia team on products, processes and support
- Support existing Cassia customers with customer service, sales growth and development of strategic plans for growing the existing base
- Work closely with executive leadership on strategic objectives and annual revenue targets
Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of strategic, consultative sales experience in a technical (IoT preferred) service oriented business
- Experience selling into at least 1 or more Cassia IoT vertical markets: Industrial IoT, Medical & Digital Health, Asset/Personnel Tracking and Smart building/Smart City
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills combined with demonstrated success in sales and account management
- A high level of drive, discipline and internal motivation
- An ability to work in a fast paced, rapid growth, change oriented team environment
- Strong organizational, planning, analytical, negotiating and decision making skills
- Ability to multi task and meet tight deadlines
- Result focused and customer focused
- Excellent computer skills (including CRM systems, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint and MS Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
- A good understanding about IoT, wireless and networking technologies
- Technology start-up experience highly desired
- Entrepreneurial thinker who has developed out of the box strategies to build pipeline and close business
- International sales experience desired.
- Naturally curious and must be adept at pivoting, overcoming obstacles, value based selling and negotiation
- Tenacity, and outstanding ability to convince others and to maintain an effective business network
